The importance of the club’s annual banquet benefits several community organizations that include…youth firearm safety courses, kids’ day at the range, summer youth trapshooting, 4 area kids’ fishing derbys, and two $500 scholarships. Along with being a sponsor to the above, the club also opens its doors to free range use to the Cass county Sheriff’s Dept, the City of Walker Police Dept, the MNDNR, the MN State Patrol, and the US Customs and Border Patrol. This year, a new program is being started and is beginning to generate a lot of interest.
This past October, the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (WHA) school board has approved the school district participating in the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League (MSHSCTL). The MSHSCTL is the fastest growing participation sport in Minnesota. This year, estimates have approximately 5000 students shooting on the league from 275 schools. This is a league that is open to EVERYONE, ages 12 through 18(senior year). Each participant must have completed their Minnesota Hunter Safety program prior to enrolling.

2019 Trap League

Now is the time to be lining up teams for this summer’s Trap League. The League will shoot on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, beginning June 5th. A team must have at least 5 members, but it's a good idea to have a 6th member as an alternate.

Let us know if you need another shooter on your team, or if you are a shooter that needs to be assigned to a team. You can register your team when you come to the club for a practice round, or give us a call.

If you have questions, or want more information call: Bill O’Neill at 218-547-2611, or Richard Boston at 218-888-6701, or 218-547-3936.
